Rodney Sampson has joined Draper Goren Holm, the Westlake Village blockchain technology investment firm, as a venture partner. Previously, Sampson co-founded, built and sold Streamingfaith.com for $24 million and was a partner at TechSquare Labs. Josef Holm said that Sampson “will play a key role in scouting the industry’s top projects, ensuring we continue to make investments into the best entrepreneurs this space has to offer.” … Film production accounting firm Cast & Crew has devised a three-part program to adjust to the entertainment industry’s reduced production schedule because of the coronavirus. Actions include furloughs for most employees and salary reductions of 50 percent for executive management and 25 percent for other senior employees. “Given the temporary entertainment industry slowdown caused by COVID-19, we are taking several actions to align our costs to the economic situation in the industry we serve,” Chief Executive Eric Belcher said in a statement. … B-Real, the rapper and entrepreneur behind Dr. Greenthumb Dispensaries in Sylmar, has signed a brand partnership with Grenco Science, maker of the G Pen line of cannabis vaping gear. The companies will collaborate on a new line of vaporizers and co-branded products. “G Pen and I have always been mutually supportive,” B-Real said in a statement. “Our partnership feels like a natural next step as we continue to move the industry forward.” … Litton Entertainment has launched a new website called The Daily Splash to give families access to its collection of educational television shows. “It taps into our library of 3,000-plus episodes of educational programming seen weekly for 30 years on NBC, CBS and ABC TV stations,” Dave Morgan, chief executive of the Burbank company, said in a statement. … Venbrook Group in Woodland Hills has hired Sonia Ahuja as chief operating officer. She will be responsible for top-line growth, efficiency and margin improvement at the company, which engages in retail and wholesale brokerage and claims management for insurance. Ahuja was previously chief operating officer at Farmers Financial Solutions in Agoura Hills, a subsidiary of Farmers Insurance Group in Woodland Hills.
