TicketManager Grows Client Roster With Sports Systems Acquisition

 TicketManager announced on Tuesday it will acquire Sports Systems, a firm that provides sports data management software.Financial terms of the deal between Calabasas-based TicketManager and Sports Systems in Fort Lee, N.J. were not disclosed.

The deal will add more than 250 corporate and team customers to TicketManager’s roster of companies and teams for which it provides software that manages tickets for sports and live events.TicketManager Chief Executive Tony Knopp said the company has long admired Sports Systems and it was excited to add their technology and customers.

“We are building the largest, most extensive and most exclusive community in sports and live events to get tickets in the right hands and drive measurable business,” Knopp said in a statement.

Sports Systems founder and President Jim Daigle said the San Fernando Valley company was the ideal one to join forces with as both firms have shared the same goal: creating products that simplify the challenge faced by rights holders and corporate partners across sports and entertainment. “We are thrilled to become a part of an expansive and powerful community of sports and event professionals with shared interests and common goals,” Daigle said in a statement.

Sports Systems was founded in 1986 and provides technology and services for media, staff and volunteer credentialing, guest registration and sponsorship management. Its customers include sponsors of the Olympic Games, FIFA World Cup, the Super Bowl, the NCAA Final Four and other major sporting events.

TicketManager was founded in 2007 and offers convenient and simple technology to create events, invite guests, register and check-in customers, and report on the effectiveness of each event in real-time. Customers include Verizon, FedEx, Adidas, Anheuser-Busch and more than 100 pro and college teams in the NFL, NBA, NHL and NCAA.
