ServiceTitan has expanded its target market to include the construction industry.
The Glendale company, which makes software to help contractors such as plumbers and electricians schedule and organize their business, is making available its services for trades-focused subcontractors to seamlessly integrate construction projects, streamline operations and increase revenue, it said in a release.
To lead the company’s expansion into construction-focused capabilities, it has hired Sendur Sellakumar who will become the first-ever senior vice president of commercial and construction. He brings nearly 25 years of experience in technology and investment banking. Prior to joining ServiceTitan, Sellakumar was chief cloud officer at Splunk, a San Francisco data technology provider, and before that was an investment banker with Morgan Stanley covering the software sector.
“With the launch of these new capabilities for construction-focused tradespeople, we aim to deliver a superior subcontractor experience that enables our customers to capture additional revenue streams and address additional segments of the trades market,” Sellakumar said in a statement.
Ara Mahdessian, co-founder and chief executive of ServiceTitan, said that he was thrilled to welcome Sellakumar to the team as well as to expand the company’s reach to provide its customers with even more tools they need to grow their businesses.
“Many of our customers who provide both construction services and perform service and replacement jobs have asked us to create features to support both of these aspects of their business, and we’re excited to unveil our new suite of construction features to meet their needs,” Mahdessian said in a statement.
This launch follows significant investments the company has recently made in the landscaping and pest control industries, ultimately empowering tradespeople in both residential and commercial sectors to address a broader customer base and grow their businesses, ServiceTitan said in its release.
