In preparation for Super Bowl LVI this coming Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams are hosting an Opening Night Fan Rally this evening. The rally will be held at Oaks Christian High School in Westlake Village, not at California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, where the Rams’ practice facility is based.
Presented by Gatorade, the rally will begin at 5:30 p.m. Scheduled are appearances by Rams Head Coach Sean McVay, General Manager Les Snead, several current players and what is billed as a “surprise Rams legend.”
The event will be nationally televised and could be good marketing for Oaks Christian.
Various representatives, either at the school or elsewhere, did not return calls or did not want to speak about why the Rams’ event was scheduled away from California Lutheran, which has been the football team’s base since moving to Los Angeles. The rally will be at Oaks Christian’s stadium, which seats 2,800 people. CLU’s William Rolland Stadium seats 3,000.
Attendance is limited to ticketholders and the event will not accommodate walk-ups.
