Loop Media Inc. announced on Wednesday a partnership with the World Surf League to launch WSL TV, a new channel.
Financial terms of the deal between the Glendale short-form video distributor and World Surf League in Santa Monica were not disclosed.
Tapping into WSL’s extensive library of surf highlights, professional commentary and favorite surfer interviews, Loop has created a new channel on the Loop Player for its out-of-home business clients, it said in a release.
Greg Drebin, chief content officer for Loop, said the new channel is a great addition to the company’s sports and adventure offerings.
“Our partnership with The World Surf League and the launch of WSL TV illustrates our commitment to expanding our video and sports offering to our (out-of-home) clients to allow them to satisfy their customers with hugely popular and in-demand content,” Drebin said in a statement.
Loop Media distributes its library to restaurants, bars, casinos, cruise ships and other public venues.
Shares of Loop Media (LPTV) closed down 5 cents, or 2 percent, to $2.45 on the over-the-counter market.
