Liberate Yourself Opens in Valley

Liberate Yourself, a spiritual healing and hypnosis center and metaphysical retail space, has opened a new location in Sherman Oaks at 13323 Ventura Blvd.

The location, featuring more than 2,000 square feet of retail and outdoor event space, is an extension to Liberate Emporium on Hillhurst in Los Feliz and a replacement for Liberate Hollywood, which closed.

The centers feature instructors teaching classes and hosting workshops on reiki, sound baths, tarot readings, chakra balancing and other spiritual and body-focused services. Crystals, candles, sage smudges and additional metaphysical accessories are available for sale.  “This incredible space is everything a creative soul would need. At times we all feel a little disconnected, lost or in search of something more. Liberate helps guide you forward with intuitive readings, energy healings, education, crystals and other metaphysical tools to support you,” Cristina Dam, the founder of Liberate Yourself, said in a statement about the new location. “A welcoming space you didn’t know you needed. Be Powerful. Be Magical. Be Free.”Dam has operated Liberate Yourself centers since 2010, with the Liberate Hollywood location opening in 2017. The former building on Selma Avenue, now replaced by the Sherman Oaks location, focused on yoga and guided meditation classes, as well as event rentals for panels and performances including “Her Music Club,” a community event featuring female musicians. In the new center, the event space will feature live music, comedy, creative nights and the popular sound baths and mediation workshops.

Livestream and in-person classes are currently being booked, with breathwork and meditation streams starting at $15 and specialized Kundalini Activation Process energy in-person classes ranging up to $50 per participant. Additional topics include “The Guided Psychedelic Journey,” “Tantric Dating,” “Past Life Regression Meditation” and “Full Moon Burning and Manifestation Rituals” with practitioners at the center.
