Kitchen Upgrades to Make Cooking Easier

Thermomix USA debuted late last month two new cooking innovations.

The Thousand Oaks manufacturer of combination blenders, mixers and slow cookers released on Jan. 31 Cookidoo Created Recipes and the Thermomix blade cover and peeler.

Designed to make cooking faster, easier and more fun, the customer-inspired gadgets will change the way users interact with Thermomix by allowing home cooks to create recipes and save time on food preparation, the company said in a release.

Thermomix USA Chief Executive Fredrik Lundqvist said that with the two new advancements, the Thermomix brand continues to revolutionize the art of cooking by streamlining the process, putting design and digitization to the forefront, while adding the human component offered by expert independent consultants and customer-driven updates.

“We know everyone has unique needs and preferences – this new accessory and the new mode perfectly demonstrate that cooking has no limits, and that Thermomix is constantly innovating to foster awesome experiences made effortless,” Lundqvist said in a statement.

The Created Recipes are available to all Cookidoo subscribers via the Cookidoo Web App and the Thermomix Cookidoo App.

With the new software, Thermomix Cookidoo users will be able to fully create and customize their favorite recipes for use in a Thermomix TM6, the kitchen appliance that allows one to steam vegetables, cook meals, whip eggs and cream with a butterfly whisk and brown, saute and caramelize ingredients, among other functions.

The software addition to Thermomix’s official digital recipe portal also allows users to create their own recipes from scratch; manually import recipes from Thermomix Community websites; modify Cookidoo recipes already on the platform to personalize to their tastes; and conveniently add created recipes to their weekly meal planner and shopping list.

Ramona Wahlig, vice president of digital businesses at Thermomix, said that for the first time user will be able to teach their TM6 what to cook.

“The Thermomix user experience will become an even more dynamic exchange of information and inspiration, as customers can now make their very own personal culinary creativity a reality,” Wahlig said in a statement.

The all-new blade cover and peeler is a device that adds peeling to the TM6’s 24 culinary functions. Made of stainless steel, the updated blade cover handles the tasks of cleaning, scrubbing and peeling vegetables and spices such as potatoes, carrots, beets, turmeric and ginger, Thermomix said in its release.

Given that Thermomix is already designed to be one’s personal kitchen assistant, the new blade cover and peeler enables users to cut prep time while offloading the more tedious cooking tasks, ultimately leaving more time for other things users love to do, Lundqvist said.

“With this innovation, we continue to take action on our customer and consultant feedback and fulfill our brand promise of helping everyone be the cook they aspire to be,” Lundqvist said in his statement.

The all-new blade cover and peeler sells for $49 at Thermomix.com while supplies last.

Thermomix USA is owned by Vorwerk & Co. LG in Germany. The parent also owns Jafra Cosmetics International, Inc., based in Westlake Village.
