Henry Stern, the California Assembly member who represents the western part of the San Fernando Valley, announced Thursday he will run for a seat on the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors.
District 3 is currently represented by Supervisor Sheila Kuhl, but she will step down after serving two four-year terms.
Stern’s district for the state legislature overlaps with the newly redrawn District 3, with both including Woodland Hills, Chatsworth, Malibu, Calabasas and Westlake Village.
Stern has already formed a campaign organization called Stern for Supervisor 2022. He announced his candidacy at the corner of Ventura Boulevard and Stern Avenue in Sherman Oaks.
