Encino law firm Alpert Barr & Grant on Wednesday announced a plan to merge with Shenon Law on April 1, taking on three lawyers and two paralegals from the Sherman Oaks firm.The merger will bring “a range of expertise” to business law clients, the firm said in a statement. Alpert Barr is also relocating to accommodate its growing employee base, from its office in Encino to 15165 Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks.Shenon Law brings expertise in mergers and acquisitions; business formation; real estate transactions; business transactions; business litigation; appeals and securities law.Alpert Barr covers corporate and transactional matters; data security and privacy; insolvency, bankruptcy and creditor rights; litigation; lobbying and strategic advocacy; manufactured housing and mobile homes; mediation and arbitration; mobile application and online privacy; outside general counsel services and real estate law.The combined practice will continue operating under the name Alpert Barr & Grant, the firm said, with Gary Barr, Adam Grant and Natela Shenon leading the combined practice as equity shareholders.Lee Kanon Alpert will retain his own separate arbitration and mediation firm, Alpert Dispute Resolution & Consulting Inc.
