Valley Dump To Receive Less City Trash

The Los Angeles Board of Public Works have approved a five-year contract to divert 20 percent of the city’s trash from the Sunshine Canyon Landfill in Granada Hills. About 600 tons of trash each day will be transported to the El Sobrante Landfill in Corona started Dec. 30. Sunshine will continue to receive about 3,000 tons.
