Programming showcasing research developments at top universities and institutions will be available on demand following an agreement between TVN Entertainment Corp. and ResearchChannel. The partnership between Burbank-based TVN and ResearchChannel underscores the unique appeal of the company’s video on demand platform, said Executive Vice President Jim Riley. “With this deal we are helping ResearchChannel present timely scientific developments, insights, discoveries that affect our lives and futures all with the choice, convenience, and control of VOD,” Riley said. ResearchChannel is a non profit consortium of leading research institutions, including Yale University, the University of Chicago, The National Science Foundation and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. ResearchChannel is available to more than 26 million households. The deal with TVN makes its programming available on demand through TVN’s affiliates.
