Semiconductor manufacturer Semtech Corp. improved its net income for the second quarter when compared to the previous year. The Camarillo-based company reported a net income of $11.7 million, or $0.19 per diluted share, on revenues of $78 million for the quarter ending July 27. That is a 30 percent increase from the net income of $9 million, or $0.13 cents per diluted share, on revenues of $67 million for the same period in 2007. The company is forecasting a loss of one to two cents per diluted share in the third quarter due to a fire at a fabrication facility in Mexico delaying shipments.
