New class of tanker considered

EDWARDS AFB – The U.S. Forest Service has called on NASA Dryden Flight Research Center to lend its aeronautical expertise to qualifying a new class of aerial fire tankers for use in fighting wildfires. “The Forest Service is looking at the possibility of beginning to utilize a new, larger class of tanker,” said Mark Dickerson, Dryden project manager.
