IRIS Purchases Leucadia Technologies

Chatsworth-based IRIS International Inc. has purchased Leucadia Technologies for $10.1 million. The compensation includes a cash payment of $3.1 million and about $7 million in IRIS common stock. IRIS said that the acquisition will supply the company with more sensitive diagnostic technology. IRIS’ automated urinalysis technology is used in major medical institutions around the world.
