Westlake Village-based Inphi has received another $18 million in funding for its precision timing devices and high speed electric components. Funding came from Cadence Design Systems, as well as existing investors, Tallwood Venture Capital, Mayfield Fund and Walden International. The company said that it would use the funding to expand both development as well as market-focused activities, allowing the company to expand production of Inphi’s DDR2 logic devices. Inphi is a privately held electrics components company. Its product portfolio comprises more than 80 components for the optical and microwave communications, instrumentation, and defense markets.
