The Airtel Plaza Hotel and Convention Center, Time Warner Cable, and Providence Holy Cross Medical Center are the three finalists for the Valley Economic Alliance “Economic Engine” Award. The inaugural award will be presented to one of these businesses at the Economic Alliance board of directors’ annual meeting on Aug. 26 at Woodbury University in Burbank. The following businesses were also nominated: T. Viole Construction Company Inc., Robert Half International, WET Design, The Method Fest, Westfield Group, Wells Fargo Community Bank of the San Fernando Valley, and Gelb Group. The “Economic Engine” award recognizes exceptional Valley-based businesses that have contributed significantly to the regional economy, as well as the communities where they are located. A panel of judges reviews all nominations and a silent vote determines the recipient of the award.
