Cal State Faculty OKs Strike

California State University faculty has authorized a strike if they and administrators can’t agree on a pay increase before next month. The possible strike, approved by 94 percent of the California Faculty Association Wednesday, would include a two-day walkout on the 23 Cal State campuses, including Channel Islands and Northridge. Faculty are asking for a 25.7 percent pay increase. The union represents about 24,000 members.
