Blue Cross of California has been honored by its corporate parent for two community outreach programs last year. Blue Cross Blue Shield Association honored the company for its Live Like a Champion mobile outreach tour, a campaign conducted with the California Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports and conducted through the firm Marketing Werks. The marketing campaign was conducted out of a logoed FJ Cruiser, which traveled to communities to educate children about staying active and healthy. The second award honored the company’s outreach to the Hispanic market through radio, television and direct mail.
