KNBC won 8 Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards, including for investigative reporting and outstanding hard news reporting. The awards were presented Sept. 6 at the Academy’s Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in North Hollywood. The Burbank-based KNBC also won for outstanding news writer and for “Laundered Election” in the serious news story, single report category. KCBS and KCAL 9 in Studio City won five awards and the City of Glendale won in the Public, Municipal and Operator Produced Cable category for “Invest in Glendale 2007” aired on GTV6.
