LANCASTER – Antelope Valley Hospital, drawing closer to breaking even, is still registering seven-figure annual financial losses, closing its 2007-08 fiscal year with a loss of nearly $2 million. Except for 2005-06, when it generated a surplus of $396,039, the hospital has finished five of the past six fiscal years in the red, losing $5.4 million in 2002-03, $13.1 million in 2003-04, $6.2 million in 2004-05, $12.6 million in 2006-07 and, now, $2 million in 2007-08.
