Aspyra Reduces Net Loss

Aspyra Inc. narrowed its net loss for the second quarter compared with the same period from a year ago. The Calabasas-based company reported a loss of $893,656, or a loss of $0.08 per diluted share, on revenues of $2.7 million for the quarter ending June 30. That is an improvement from the net loss of $1,064,180, or a loss of $0.11. per diluted share, on revenues of $3.2 million for the same period in 2006. The company had reduced revenues due to lower sales of clinical and diagnostic imaging systems, said President and CEO Steven M. Besbeck. “However, we began to experience improved sales closings and new opportunities for potential sales late in our second quarter that is helping to build a larger pipeline of business,” Besbeck said.
