Am-Pac Tire in Simi to close down

The former headquarters and tire distribution warehouse for Am-Pac Tire Distributors Inc. in Simi Valley will close down in the coming months, eliminating 63 jobs. American Tire Distributors Inc., which purchased Am-Pac in December, sent a letter to the county Board of Supervisors last week informing them of the closures. The letter states the move is part of consolidating Am-Pac into American Tire. The first round of terminations will be June 26, with others following through the end of the year.
