CW Network Renews Affiliate Pact

CW Network and Nexstar Broadcasting Group Inc. reached an agreement to continue broadcasting the network’s programming on Nexstar’s nine stations. Stations extending their affiliate agreement with the Burbank network are in Bakersfield; Phoenix; Salt Lake City; Memphis; Jacksonville, Fla.; Roanoke, Va.; Baton Rouge, La.; Davenport, Iowa; and Watertown, N.Y. Nexstar, based in Irving, Texas complements the CW lineup with local news and other programming, said Chief Executive Perry A. Sook. “With the combined CW and Nexstar programming we are delivering great entertainment and information to viewers and an excellent marketing solutions platform for local and national advertisers,” Sook said in a prepared statement. The CW is a joint venture between Warner Bros. Entertainment, in Burbank, and CBS Corp.
