The Los Angeles Rams are looking for a temporary in-season training facility with Thousand Oaks’ Cal Lutheran University in the running. Rams Chief Operating Officer Kevin Demoff said the NFL franchise is deciding between two locations, both in the West Valley and Conejo Valley areas, according to the Ventura County Star. Until the team’s Inglewood stadium is completed in 2019, the Rams will be playing its next three seasons at the Coliseum in Los Angeles, and it needs a practice facility during that time. As for preseason practice, spring camp is scheduled to take place at River Ridge Fields in Oxnard, beginning April 18. However, the Rams will be moving to UC Irvine for training camp in August, because the Dallas Cowboys will take over the Oxnard location as its regular training site, which it has been using on and off since 2001. Rams training camp at UC Irvine will be free and open to the public, and the team is expecting a good turnout from fans.
