Joel Fox, co-publisher of the conservative political website Fox & Hounds Daily, plans to close the site on Friday.In an email to contributors and supporters, Fox expressed thanks for the website’s 12 years of political commentary and said he considered shutting down a year ago, but decided to wait until the November election.“Co-publishers Tom Ross, Bryan Merica and I have kept F&H going over this time investing our own time, funding and staff help. With the election come and gone, and with no sense of additional resources to lighten our load after a dozen years, we have decided to close the site down,” he said in the email.In 2018, the website had 10,000 email subscribers. Fox also runs his political consulting business, Joel Fox Consulting, from his home in Granada Hills.Fox served as president of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association for 12 years. He was a senior policy consultant for the Schwarzenegger for Governor campaign and a consult to the San Fernando Valley secession effort in 2002.He is on the Valley 200, the Business Journal’s list of the most influential people in the region.
