JMPR Public Relations has been named the public relations agency of record for The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, the company announced Tuesday. The Quail is an event held during Monterey Car Week in Northern California. It brings together connoisseurs to celebrate automotive design while enjoying food in a garden party at Quail Lodge & Golf Club in Carmel Valley. JMPR in Woodland Hills, which specializes in automotive clients, will be responsible for elevating the Quail’s profile in national and international media outlets, handling social media strategy and servicing select sponsors. “The Quail has been long heralded as the crown jewel during Monterey Car Week,” JMPR President Joseph Molina said in a statement. “It has managed to capture international attention despite the whirlwind of events that take place that week, because it features the world’s finest and rarest collections of automobiles and motorcycles.” This year, the Quail will take place on Aug. 19. Themes include the 100th anniversary of BMW, a retrospective of Laguna Seca Raceway, supercars, Ferraris and racing motorcycles.
