Universal Studios Theme Parks Close to Contain Coronavirus

Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort announced late Thursday that both theme parks will close in hopes of containing the spread of coronavirus. According to a statement from NBCUniversal, its Universal City location will be closed starting Saturday, while the Orlando park will close on Sunday. Universal Studios Hollywood plans to reopen on March 28 while management continues to monitor the situation. Universal CityWalk will remain open, the company said in a statement. In Orlando, the company anticipates “remaining closed through the end of March,” according to a statement on its website. Its hotels and CityWalk remain open.
