Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced Thursday a publishing and distribution agreement with video game developer IO Interactive. Warner Bros. Interactive in Burbank and IO in Copenhagen will partner to produce a new, untitled console and PC game. The two companies previously worked together on titles in the “Hitman” video game series, including “Hitman 2” and “Hitman: Definitive Edition.” David Haddad, president of Warner Bros. Interactive, said the gaming division of Warner Bros. Entertainment was pleased to continue its relationship with IO’s team. “IO Interactive has a longstanding legacy of creating iconic games, and we’re looking forward to partnering on this next endeavor to bring a new console and PC gaming experience to players globally,” Haddad said in a statement.
