Loop Media Inc. has upgraded and renamed its trivia channel to Loop Trivia with the addition of a new host and 400 new questions.
The Burbank short form video distributor announced actress Grace Demarco as the new host to the channel to deliver the upgraded content offering.
Justis Kao, the chief content officer of Loop Media, said the company’s premium trivia experience is a proven winner for its business customers.
“So, naturally, we are thrilled to take an already great offering up even higher with the additions to the Loop Trivia channel, which provides an ideal interactive customer experience,” Kao said in a statement.
In-venue entertainment in the hospitality space, known as “eatertainment,” is considered a prime marketing opportunity for operators, creating a highly engaging customer experience which can boost time in the venue, leading to the opportunity for increased food and beverage sales and staff tips, according to Loop Media.
Trivia also fosters fellowship among guests and creates an experience guests look forward to recreating when they return to the venue, often with regular weekly visits planned around a group trivia experience, the company added.
Loop Media’s video content reaches millions of viewers in digital out-of-home locations including bars and restaurants, office buildings, retail businesses, college campuses, hotels, airports; on free ad-supported TV platforms like Roku; and at local gas stations across the United States.
Randy Baer, owner of Rupert’s Kids Arcade in Shelbyville, Indiana said his business runs Loop Trivia and that folks enjoy playing along.
“It’s a great attention grabber and conversation starter,” Baer said in a statement.
Rachel Magnuson, owner of iCRYO, a health and wellness center in Wichita, Kansas, said her favorite thing about Loop TV is the trivia channel because it is so much better than the competition and her guests love to play the trivia games.
“We will have trivia competitions with our guests because they’re trapped in compression for 45 minutes,” Magnuson said in a statement. “We have fun with it.”
The Loop Trivia channel is available now exclusively on the Loop TV service through its proprietary Loop Player. Loop Trivia is one of the top streaming channels on Loop TV with over 500 million total minutes in the last twelve months.
Loop first launched the ad-supported Loop Player in 2020, providing a plug-and-play premium audio-visual entertainment and video signage solution for free to its business clients, solving problems overnight for businesses and advertisers alike, according to a release from the company.
Loop’s player offers public venues of any size with an alternative to the more expensive and less customizable cable and satellite services pervasive today by providing a reliable all-in-one streaming entertainment, music and signage solution for both the customer experience as well as back-of-house. Loop essentially lets each venue manager become its own program director for their screens, the release added.
