Branded Entertainment Reports Record Revenue

Branded Entertainment Network closed 2018 with its highest annual revenue ever, up 52 percent from its 2017 performance, the company announced Tuesday. Exact revenue was not disclosed. The company is a subsidiary of BEN Group Inc. in Sherman Oaks. Branded Entertainment is a product placement agency that uses technology to predict and improve the success of brand integration and influencer marketing campaigns. The company attributed much of its growth to the addition of nine new clients in the fourth quarter of 2018, including Chick-fil-A, Trojan Magnum, iFit, Lenovo, Redbox, Google UK, TechStyle, Playbrush and Verizon’s Visible. Using Branded Entertainment’s proprietary algorithms, streaming service provider Philo improved the click-through-rate of its marketing campaigns by 172 percent and reduced the number of views it took for the company to acquire subscriptions by 1,000 percent, according to the company. “We believe 2019 will be our strongest year ever. Our proprietary deep learning algorithms are continually improving the effectiveness of our client campaigns and the efficiency of our business,” said Chief Executive Ricky Ray Butler in a statement. “We’re offering brands something unique in the marketplace: the ability to predict results.” BEN Group’s product licensing subsidiary Greenlight also had a successful year, securing the advertising rights for legendary jazz musician Ella Fitzgerald.
