The Valley Industry & Commerce Association will induct Anheuser-Busch, The Buckley School, Harry Chandler, Porto’s Bakery and The Walt Disney Company into their San Fernando Valley Business Hall of Fame June 17. The third annual induction into the hall of fame will take place at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City. “Each of our five inductees have significantly contributed to the Valley’s culture and economy,” VICA Chair Daymond Rice said. Anheuser Busch has a brewery located in Van Nuys. They have donated $370 million through their charitable foundation including several in the Los Angeles area over the last decade. The Buckley School, based in Sherman Oaks, is a college preparatory day school. Harry Chandler, former Los Angeles Times publisher, was a former real estate mogul who launched the Ambassador and California Institute of Technology. Porto’s, a family-owned and operated bakery specializing in special occasion cakes, has locations in Glendale and Burbank. Disney, located in Burbank, is one of the Valley’s largest employers.
