Tix Returns to Selling Cirque du Soleil Tickets

Tix Corp. has returned to selling discounted tickets to Cirque du Soleil shows at MGM Resorts International in Las Vegas. The Studio City discount ticket provider signed a five-year agreement with MGM to sell Cirque, Blue Man Group and MGM Resorts headliner tickets at its booths in Las Vegas and online. In September 2017, MGM had pulled tickets to four Cirque du Soleil shows on its properties from Tix’s Tix4Tonight kiosks and was selling them at its own website and ticket booths. The company also announced it opened a new kiosk at the Las Vegas North Premium Outlets shopping mall and a pop-up ticket desk at Gray Line tours facility at 7370 Dean Martin Drive. It also closed a kiosk at the Four Queens Resort & Casino in downtown Las Vegas to make room for a redesigned gaming floor. Shares of Tix (TIXC) closed up 8 cents, or more than 33 percent, to 32 cents on the over-the-counter market.
