Hasbro Expands Burbank Presence

Hasbro Inc. recently doubled its leased space in Burbank to roughly 80,000 square feet. The Pawtucket, R.I.-based toymaker took space at 3333 W. Empire Ave. in the 19-acre, Media Studios North office campus, according to CoStar Group Inc. and L.A.’s commercial real estate brokerage Madison Partners. The company will move into the space in the five-story, Class A office building near the end of this year and leave its current, 45,000-square feet at 2950 N. Hollywood Way, also in Burbank, according to Brad Feld, a partner with Madison who negotiated the deal on behalf of the landlords, Worthe Real Estate Group in Burbank and Shorenstein Properties. Media Studios North features a private health club, commissaries, outdoor basketball and sand volleyball court, nine-hole putting green, jogging track and screening rooms. Tenants of the campus include Yahoo Inc., Technicolor, Insomniac Games Inc. and Rovi Corp. The company maintains a presence in Burbank because of its involvement with TV and film projects for product lines My Little Pony and Transformers. Also, the Van Nuys company Funrise Inc. makes some My Little Pony products under an agreement with Hasbro.
