U.S. Nuclear Names CFO

U.S. Nuclear on Monday said that it had appointed Michael Hastings as its new chief financial officer.

Hastings has served on the board of directors of the Canoga Park radiation detection equipment manufacturer for the past few years prior to his appointment as chief financial officer.

Hastings has more than 30 years of experience as a corporate finance officer, having previously held positions at EnerSys Inc. as its vice president and treasurer with company revenue of $2 billion and operations all over the world. Headquartered in Reading, Pennsylvania, EnerSys is a global company in stored energy products for industrial applications.

Hastings also has significant experience in the due diligence, valuation and negotiation of numerous acquisitions.

More recently, Hastings was a member of the board of directors and CFO of MegaGraphite Inc., a private graphite exploration company in Canada, between 2011 and 2014 when it was sold. He was also a member of the board of directors of Organic Transit Inc., a private solar electric vehicle company in Raleigh, North Carolina, from 2018 to when it was sold in 2020 to Sun MicroMobility LLC, a subsidiary of PetroSun Inc., in Phoenix.

Shares in US Nuclear closed up just more than one cent, or nearly 22%, to almost 7 cents on the over-the-counter market on the day of the announcement.
