NetSol Technologies Inc. has signed a contract with a global agricultural and industrial equipment manufacturer based in Japan.
The contract between NetSol, a Calabasas supplier of software to the vehicle and equipment financing and leasing markets, and the unnamed Japanese company relates to the firm’s operations in Australia.
The San Fernando Valley company said its software will be installed in the next 12 to 14 months.
The multi-million-dollar contract is to deploy NetSol’s premier technology platform, NFS Ascent Retail, which consists of the Ascent Omni Point-of-Sale and the Ascent Contract Management systems.
The client, who is already using NetSol’s software in New Zealand, will also have installed NFS Digital touchpoints including Self Point-of-Sale, Mobile Point-of-Sale and Mobile Account.
Najeeb Ghauri, founder and chief executive of NetSol, said the company was excited to announce the contract with the Japanese equipment finance provider to deploy NFS Ascent in their Australian operations.
Ghauri called NFS Ascent an “unrivaled” platform for the global equipment and asset finance and leasing industry.
“We are pleased that they have again chosen our products, and we look forward to further expanding our partnership and supporting them in their future business initiatives,” Ghauri said in a statement.
The announcement of the contract was made on Feb. 16. Shares in NetSol (NTWK) closed down on Friday 13 cents, or just more than 4.5%, to $2.72 on the Nasdaq, on a day when that market closed down a fraction of a percent. The markets were closed on Monday for the President’s Day holiday.
