Real Industry Inc. has selected Kyle Ross as its chief executive, effective immediately. Ross previously served as interim chief executive at the Sherman Oaks holding company, which owns an industrial aluminum recycler in Cleveland. He took over management responsibilities when former chief executive Craig Bouchard left the company in August. Since 2010, Ross also served as Real Industry’s chief financial officer, president and chief investment officer. In addition to assuming the chief executive role, he will join the company’s board. “Over the past several months, Kyle’s strong leadership and experience have been key to Real Industry’s ability to navigate a challenging market environment,” Chairman William Hall said in a statement. “Our decision to appoint Kyle as our CEO is based on his understanding of our business, assets and opportunities, as well as his focus on our stockholders.” Shares of Real Industry (RELY) closed Thursday up 5 cents, or 2 percent, to $2.60 on the Nasdaq.
