Canoga Park Firm Branches into China

US Nuclear Corp. has opened an office in Beijing to better pursue opportunities to sell its air and water monitoring products in that country. The Canoga Park holding company said Wednesday it will staff the office with local product specialists and trained technicians. Chief Executive Robert Goldstein said a Chinese office will improve communications with current and future customers, distributors and officials and lead the way to expansion in the burgeoning nuclear power industry there. “With the support of local sales representatives, we will be able to understand and negotiate the market more adeptly, while our skilled technicians can offer fast and local service for our products,” Goldstein said in a prepared statement. US Nuclear, traded on the over-the-counter market, develops and makes radiation detection equipment through three operating divisions for use by industries using radionuclides, including nuclear power plants, national laboratories, hospitals, medical and dental centers and research companies. Shares in the company on Wednesday were unchanged at 40 cents.
