Avery Dennison Grows Sustainable Label Line

Avery Dennison Corp. has added two new label materials to its wine and spirits portfolio, the company announced Tuesday. The Glendale label and adhesive manufacturer company’s new labels are designed to offer winemakers and converters a wider range of sustainable materials to address the buying behaviors of customers. The new labels include Grape Touch and Estate Label No. 14. Grape Touch provides a closed loop solution with strong shelf appeal and its made up of 15 percent grape waste. Estate Label No. 14 is 100 percent post-consumer-waste paper material that preserves strength, and color. “While these new products are engineered for sustainability, they’re also designed to deliver the performance and shelf appeal that moves bottles from store shelves to shopping carts,” Frank Loncar, marketing director for Avery Dennison, said in a statement. Shares of Avery Dennison (AVY) closed Tuesday down 97 cents or nearly 1 percent to $119.76 on the Nasdaq.
