Retail sales agency Impact Group Inc. has acquired Sherman Oaks-based food broker Co-Sales Co. for an undisclosed amount, the company has announced. Co-Sales helps independent food and beverage brands sell their products to grocery stores and other retailers. In addition to Sherman Oaks, it has offices in Oregon, Arizona and Northern California. All four were included in the sale. Impact Group, which is based in Boise, Idaho, plans to fold Co-Sales into its sales, marketing and retail brokerage business. “Co-Sales’ rich 113-year heritage and outstanding reputation in the West will serve Impact Group’s objective to be the best national solution for their clients,” said Co-Sales Chief Executive Don Cox in a statement. “The combination of companies and complementary offerings will fuel continued growth while maintaining best-in-class sales and service representation.” Impact Group represents over 700 consumer packaged goods companies.
