Wesco Aircraft Holdings Inc. has named Kerry Shiba as its new chief financial officer effective Monday, the company announced. Shiba will also serve as executive vice president of the Valencia aerospace parts supplier. He replaces Richard Weller who announced in June that he was retiring. Before joining Wesco, Shiba was chief financial officer at aluminum wheel manufacturer Superior Industries International Inc., which had been headquartered in Van Nuys until moving to the Detroit area two years ago. He also worked at Remy International Inc., Kaiser Aluminum Corp. and BF Goodrich Co. Wesco Chief Executive Todd Renehan said that Shiba’s appointment will strengthen the company’s management team. “He is an accomplished financial leader who brings more than 40 years of experience and a proven track record in financial management, capital restructuring, strategic planning and operation improvements with major tier-one suppliers and manufacturers,” Renehan said in a prepared statement. Shares of Wesco (WAIR) closed Monday up 20 cents, or more than 2 percent, to $9.05 on the New York Stock Exchange.
