Northeast Valley Health Names Chief Medical Officer

Northeast Valley Health Corp. on Monday announced the appointment of its new chief medical officer, Dr. Christine Park. Park has worked as the medical director of pediatrics for the nonprofit health center for over a decade. In her new position, she will replace Dr. Richard Seidman, who is leaving Northeast Valley Health Corp. to become chief medical officer of L.A. Care Health Plan, the state-funded health insurance provider for low-income individuals. “Dr. Park is very experienced in our marketplace and truly understands the challenges of being a safety net provider,” Chief Executive Kimberly Wyard said in a statement. “Her work has been very instrumental in NEVHC’s success.” Park attended UCLA for medical school and completed the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Combined Pediatrics and Public Health Residency Program. She also earned a Master of Public Health degree from UCLA prior to working for Northeast Valley Health Corp., which has 14 health centers throughout the San Fernando and Santa Clarita valleys.
