John Rossfeld was named the new chief executive of Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster on Monday. Rossfeld has served as chief executive of several other hospitals, including San Dimas Community Hospital, Sherman Oaks Hospital, Encino Hospital and Memorial Hospital at Craig in Colorado, where he held his most recent position. Alecto Healthcare Services LLC in Irvine, the health care management company that oversees Antelope Valley Hospital, appointed Rossfeld to the position, which was approved by the Antelope Valley Healthcare District board of directors at its December meeting. He was chosen to replace interim chief executive Lex Reddy, who is also Alecto Healthcare’s current chief executive. Reddy was appointed to the position in early December, as the hospital has gone through multiple management changes in 2015. “John is an experienced health care executive with an exceptional reputation for team-building and taking hospitals to new heights,” Reddy said in a statement. “We are confident that his first-rate leadership, communication, analytical and organizational skills will greatly benefit Antelope Valley Hospital and the community we serve.” Rossfeld is an Alecto employee but will work on-site at Antelope Valley Hospital to run its day-to-day operations.
