Antelope Valley Hospital and Kaiser Permanente Inc. on Wednesday announced a three-year contract for Kaiser physicians to continue to administer care to its members at the Lancaster hospital. The deal allows local residents covered by Kaiser health insurance to receive treatment nearby as Antelope Valley Hospital is the only full-service acute care hospital in the region. “As a result of this agreement, our two organizations will be working even closer together to improve the patient experience and to assure that a visit to our hospital is the best, most reassuring and most comfortable that it can be,” John Rossfeld, chief executive of Antelope Valley Hospital, said in a statement. Kaiser has six medical facilities in Lancaster and Palmdale, and serves approximately 125,000 members in the region.
