ApolloMed Signs Hospitalist Deal

Apollo Medical Holdings, Inc. announced that a subsidiary has agreed to provide hospitalists for seven hospitals run by Allied Pacific of California. Under the agreement ApolloMed, a Glendale health care management company, will manage admissions at the hospitals in the greater Los Angeles market. ApolloMed will also manage patients during their entire hospital stay, coordinate post-discharge care and handle clinical documentation. Based in Alhambra, Allied Pacific and its affiliated medical groups are one of the largest independent physician associations in California, with an enrollment of more than 500,000 patients. Hospitalists are doctors who only provide services in hospitals. ApolloMed will fulfill the agreement through its subsidiary doctors group ApolloMed Hospitalists. “This collaboration furthers our relationship with Allied Pacific and we look forward to working with its primary care physicians, specialists and case managers.” Dr. Warren Hosseinion, chief executive at ApolloMed, said in a statement. Shares closed unchanged at $5.75 on the over-the-counter market.
