Ronald Wehtje has been appointed as the new chief financial officer for Adventist Health’s Southern California Region, which includes two Valley hospitals — Glendale Adventist Medical Center and Simi Valley Hospital. In his new job, Wehtje will be responsible for the financial performance of the area’s hospitals, which accounts for 40 percent of Adventist Health’s total net revenue and almost half of its physician partners. Wehtje formerly served as vice president and chief financial officer for Adventist’s Care Delivery division as well as its partner, Chicago-based Amita Health. “Ronald’s experience as a financial executive and his ability to be a team builder will be a tremendous asset as we continue to grow the Southern California region,” Beth Zachary, chief executive for Adventist Health’s Southern California Region, said in a statement. “He brings a history of working with acute-care hospitals and physician practices which will benefit the region as we continue to expand our mission.” Wehtje will start his new position in early April.
