Infusion provider Infusion for Health, based in Thousand Oaks, announced Dan McCarty as its new chief executive on Wednesday.McCarty will help drive the Conejo Valley clinic’s growth strategy with his background experience as general manager of McKesson’s specialty and infusion practice management business. McKesson is a medical supply and care management tool company based in Texas.Infusion is an intravenous method to introduce fluids, including drugs, into the bloodstream. Patients managing chronic diseases such as multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune disorders go to Infusion for Health to receive infusion therapy.Infusion Management, the management services organization affiliated with Infusion for Health, was acquired by Salt Lake City private equity firm Cimarron Healthcare Capital last year.“Dan’s industry expertise in the sector is unrivaled,” Nick Smith, principal of Cimarron Healthcare Capital, said in a statement. “Behind his strong leadership, we look forward to expanding Infusion for Health’s geographic footprint and overall strategy.”
