BlackLine to Open Northern California R&D Office

BlackLine Inc. will open an office next month in Pleasanton to tap into the resources of the tech scene in Silicon Valley, the company announced Thursday. The office will house the sales and marketing, customer success and professional services employees of the Woodland Hills accounting software developer. It will also include an innovation lab and select product teams. Chief Executive Therese Tucker said the company was excited to complement its Los Angeles team and those located in other key cities with the talent that the Bay Area has to offer. “Our newest office – our 14th worldwide – will also serve as another R&D center as BlackLine continues to innovate in both technology and products,” Tucker said in a statement. “We expect to see high-value collaboration between northern and southern California teams.” BlackLine also has offices in Australia, Canada, France, Germany and five other countries. Shares of BlackLine (BL) closed up 69 cents, or more than 1 percent, to $48.65 on the Nasdaq.
