BlackLine Gains on Hiring of Former NetSuite Executive

Shares of BlackLine Inc. rose Tuesday after the company announced the hiring of Mark Woodhams, a former sales executive at NetSuite, as senior vice president of global sales effective July 1. At the Woodland Hills accounting software company, Woodhams will lead BlackLine’s worldwide sales organization. Previously, Woodhams worked at NetSuite where he most recently served as vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He also has executive stints at Oracle Corp., Hyperion, CapGemini and Citicorp. “Mark’s financial and professional services sectors expertise will be extremely valuable as we seek to extend and strengthen our partner networks in targeted regions around the world,” Chief Executive Therese Tucker said in a statement. BlackLine also announced that Chief Revenue Officer Chris Murphy will leave the company effective July 1. Shares of BlackLIne (BL) rose $2.93, or 6.6 percent, to close Tuesday at $47.48 on the Nasdaq.
