Nonprofit SBA Lender Hires President

Miguel Angel Juárez has been named president and executive director of Golden State Certified Development Corp., the nonprofit announced Friday. Juarez will oversee all areas of the Sherman Oaks lending organization’s efforts to provide long-term, fixed-rate financing through U.S. Small Business Administration loan programs. Prior to joining Golden State, Juarez had been director of small business lending for Valley Economic Development Center, a nonprofit small business lender located in the same Sherman Oaks building as Golden State. “I am pleased to be a part of Golden State’s work in helping create and sustain jobs and am grateful for this opportunity to lead the organization in making an impact in the San Fernando Valley and all the communities we serve throughout the State of California,” Juarez said in a prepared statement. Golden State administers the Small Business Administration’s 504 loan program and Intermediary Loan Program. It operates under the umbrella organization San Fernando Valley Small Business Development Corp.
