Nicholas Roxborough, partner at the law firm Roxborough Pomerance Nye & Adreani in Woodland Hills, has been appointed to the California Commission on Health and Safety and Workers’ Compensation.The commission is a joint labor-management body which examines workers’ compensation systems in California and recommends administrative or legislative modifications to improve their operation. Speaker of the Assembly Anthony Rendon made Roxborough’s appointment.“I am honored by the speaker’s appointment to this extraordinary commission and to hopefully play a small, but meaningful role in California’s continuing evolution of making its workers compensation system one that serves the interest of all stakeholders,” Roxborough said in a statement.Through his work at RPNA, Roxborough has specialized in representing employers in workers’ compensation premium and audit disputes, specifically in the insurance and health carrier-related fields, involving complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters, including RICO and unfair business practices.
